Adoption Assistant
Help us find the right homes for our furry friends. Spread the word, make connections, Welcome potential adopters to the shelter, answer their questions, and provide information about available animals. Coordinate introductions between potential adopters and animals, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for both parties. Work closely with potential adopters, providing guidance, support, and ensuring a smooth adoption process.
Dog Walking
Our dogs leave their kennels for some much needed fresh air and exercise. Volunteers will work with dogs of all sizes and breeds. They will enforce good behavior and encourage training. These volunteers also take dogs for extra walks, socialize them, and provide extra love to make their stay with us a little easier.
Bath-Time Volunteers
Cleanliness is one of our top priorities. We work hard each day to make sure our animals are in the cleanest space possible. We need help for deep cleaning empty kennels. We need help often to also bathe the animals – a fun time for socializing and snuggles!
Sanctuary Helpers
This is odds and ends of sanctuary work at Jadhavwadi, where hundreds of those animals who wont find adoptive homes, can live their lives in peace and shelter in nature. Whether it is washing dishes, cleaning laundry, organizing supplies, or bleaching kennels to prep for incoming animals, these volunteers are essential to our day-to-day function. They help free up staff to work more closely with the most in-need animals! Come spend a weekend or two to help at the Jadhavwadi shelter and get closer to the animals and nature.
Transport Volunteer
While we try and do most things with the animals in-house, sometimes they need to be escorted to or from other locations. Whether it’s a drop-off or pick up at a local vet office or meeting a transport van full of puppies, we are always in need of volunteers available to help animals get from point A to point B!
Event & Fundraising Volunteer
Like getting out into the community? Help us host off-site adoption, fund raising and Shelter-socialization events. We always need volunteers ready to go and represent MPF!
Marketing Volunteer
Help us spread the word through communications strategy and PR, social media posts and updates. Help us build our monthly newsletter and keep our website up to date with stories of our furry friends.

Interested In Volunteering?

We are a no-kill, non-profit shelter and adoption center for animals. We have many volunteer opportunities available both in our shelter and outside our shelter.

Review The Guidelines:

  • Volunteers between ages of 15 – 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Volunteers younger than this will not be permitted. 
  • If applicant is under 18 years of age, a birthdate MUST be provided and Parent/Guardian must sign the application.
  • Each person must complete a separate application (including any child below 18 and their parent)

The volunteers at MPF-Pune are important in helping us continue our mission helping the hundreds of cats, dogs, and other animals in need every year.
