From scared kittens and orphaned pups, to animals in distress due to severe injury and illness, we have witnessed the amazing transformation of innumerable animals under our care. All they need is timely medical intervention, good nutrition, and tender, loving care. All of which is provided to them in abundance at Mission Possible Foundation – Pune.
Here are a few of our remarkable transformational stories that show the difference helping hands, and your support make in saving the lives of our furry friends.
The Charming Rottweiler Romeo
He was just a small, over-friendly, and loving pup when he was brought to Mission Possible Foundation in distress.
He was suffering with severe gastro when he was surrendered by his owners, who did not wish to spend on veterinarian fees and medication to save his life. So, he was abandoned when he needed their love and care the most and was brought to MPF.
We accepted him in a heartbeat and started his treatment right away. Not only did he pull through, but he became a favorite of all our staff and the female dogs too, so we named him Romeo.
Little Romeo was soon adopted and travelled with his new family to Ozar near Ale Phate, Pune where he lives a happy life, wandering in the beautiful green fields and enjoying the open air.
We pray our little Rottweiler, Romeo brings his new family loads of love and good fortune.

Bhola is a true example of the wonders of the Almighty at work. Today, our Bhola is big, healthy and strong but still a loving softie at heart. A true “BHOLA”.

Innocent Calf
At MPF, we believe that not just dogs and cats but the lives of all animals are precious. This is the story of a young, male buffalo aptly named Bhola which means “innocent” in Hindi.
Bhola was abandoned at a tender age because he was born a male buffalo. He was to be slaughtered for his meat when we rescued him late one night.
He was about three months old when he arrived at Mission Possible Foundation, Pune. He was fighting to survive the effects of neglect and starvation as he was deprived of his mother’s milk. He had barely survived by eating rubbish and plastic bags at the garbage dump.
We sat for hours into the night providing him with saline and medication to treat his malnutrition, dehydration and a bloated stomach, brought on by severe diarrhea.
Overtime with medication, good nutrition, and loads of love and care, Bhola grew bigger and healthier.
He was then moved to Mission Possible Foundation, Jadhavwadi as one of our many “sanctuary animals” to roam free and enjoy life in the open air and green fields.
God works wonderful miracles through us “Human Beings”. The feeling of fulfillment and joy on saving a life and giving them a second chance can never be bought, only earned.
The Sweet Bambi
She was found abandoned in the middle of a busy highway. At just over a month old, she was left to fend for herself, bewildered, alone and defenseless.
Mission Possible Foundation was a transit point for this beauty, whom we named Bambi as she reminded us of a baby deer. In no time at all, Bambi was lucky to be adopted by the Kulkarni family in Pune who are her whole world, and likewise dote on her. She is now renamed “Hira” by her new family, meaning “Diamond”. She is truly as precious as a diamond.
The powers that be secured her well-being on that fateful day when she was left exposed to the dangers of a busy highway, and we happened to come across her.
Today she is covered with boundless love and care thanks to her wonderful adoptive family. May they be blessed in abundance.

Sher Khan
This little one was found one stormy evening being kicked around by two drunks under a bridge. He was rescued by a Dog feeder and brought to Mission Possible Foundation, Pune very late that same night.
Due to an injury, half his little mouth had been eaten away by maggots. Weighing all of 5 kgs, he was starved, dehydrated and covered in wet filth.
Sher-Khan as he is now named, just like a little lion, lords it over all the other residents at Mission Possible Foundation, Pune! He walks around the place, confident and defiant, knowing that he is loved, safe and secure here. Frequently, he stands in front of the mirror and barks at the Sher Khan defiantly looking back at him in the mirror.
Sher Khan’s days of suffering on the streets, starved and being kicked around are over. He now gets loads of love and affection and is treated like a king at Mission Possible Foundation, Pune.
Every animal deserves a second chance in life and the opportunity to live a better life, away from the starvation, pain and suffering endured on the streets, or at the hands of animal abusers.
From Pauper to Princess
It’s hard to watch but this little kitten was found in a garbage dumpster in the streets of Pune. Her calls for help, perhaps for days, was ignored until a kind soul heard her cries, rescued her and brought her to Mission Possible Foundation, Pune.
When she came to MPF she was in a pitiful condition. One of her eyes was eaten away by maggots, she was very weak, dehydrated and malnourished, and grimy from living in a dumpster. The crew at MPF got to work on her treatment immediately.
It has taken many months of rehabilitation and treatment, but finally, our little Princess has found a loving sanctuary at Mission Possible Foundation, Pune.
The donations we receive help us provide our four-legged friends with much-needed nutrition, shelter, and medical treatment that gives them a second chance at life.

The before and after of Don who was mercilessly thrown to die in an abandoned field........
Love, care, and completely dedicated “Seva” done faithfully can change the lives of the voiceless. It all depends on what lengths you are ready to go to help bring this change, as they can’t help themselves when in trouble. Sick pets and breeder’s discards are often pitched out to suffer and die a lonely and miserable death. At Mission Possible, we see this scenario almost daily. Their suffering, pain, and feelings of betrayal are apparent in their eyes when we rescue them.
Don, a handsome, loving Rottweiler, was found in the most pathetic condition, abandoned on an empty plot. He was sick, so was left to die in an open field. His body and limbs were lifeless when he was found. Through the help of rescuers who alerted us to him, and the volunteers who stepped forth to help, Don became one of our true miracle babies and received a second chance at life! Don has fully recovered and is as good as new! He is our gentle giant with a nature as soft as a baby lamb.
His story proves that someone’s ill-perceived, worthless, discarded item, is another’s prized, and beautiful possession!
The Puppy
Mill Dog
The puppy mill dog usually has a card on his/her name maintained to indicate how many litters he/she has had and how many puppies were produced per litter.
Caring for the well-being of these dogs means constant veterinary care, leading to high medical bills with no financial incentives for the breeder. So, when the dog can no longer produce puppies, it is usually abandoned on the streets, or worse, and the perpetrators barely get a slap on the wrist.
These breeder discards are used until they are too sick and old to fend for themselves. They live their entire lives in a constant state of pregnancy with their offspring taken away time and again for profit.
It has become a common sight to find pedigree dogs discarded by inhumane breeders, aimlessly navigating chaotic streets, or scavenging garbage dumps for food. Man has become their worst friend!
These innocent lives, once deemed profitable, are now seen as disposable. Many of them suffer from neglect, poor health, and trauma. At MPF, we strive to rescue and rehabilitate these forgotten animals. But we can’t do it alone.
